Normal range: 0.58-1.38 g/L

Comment: Apolipoprotein–B is the main structural component of Low Density Lipoprotein (LDL). Elevated levels indicate an increased atherogenic risk. This test is usefully combined with Apo-A1 ratio. This ratio is widely considered to provide the best discrimination of subjects with atherogenic risk, especially when used in conjunction with Lp(a) levels. The optimal ratio is less than 1.6:1

Sample: Serum, fasting, 14hr
