Comment: Factor XI deficiency is inherited in an autosomal recessive manner. The associated prolongation of the APT is not always associated with a bleeding disorder. When present, bleeding is usually mild, with a delayed bleeding pattern. Factor XI deficiency is seen most commonly in a Sephardim Jewish population
